Delete your Stems Live account
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This page explains how to request the deletion of your Stems Live account and the data linked to it, what is deleted, what is kept, and how long it takes. The data controller is Stems Live LLC. If you have questions, write to us at [email protected].
1. How to request deletion
The fastest way is from the Stems Live app:
- Sign in to the app.
- Open your account (My account) and go to Profile.
- At the bottom of Profile, choose Delete account.
- Read what you will lose and sort out anything the app flags as pending. For example, if you have a team with other people, transfer its ownership to someone or delete the team.
- Confirm it is you with your password. If you signed in with Google and have no password, a 6-digit code is sent to your email. Then type ELIMINAR (the same word in every language) and choose Delete my account.
- The app shows you the date your account will be deleted and signs you out on all your devices.
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, write to us at [email protected] from the email you signed up with and we will help you delete it.
2. Timing and how to cancel
- Your account is deleted 30 days after you ask. Until that period ends, neither your account nor your content is deleted. The only exception is a team you choose to delete, which disappears as soon as you confirm.
- If you sign in within those 30 days, you can choose Cancel the deletion and everything stays as it was, except your subscription, which you will need to reactivate.
- From the moment you ask, your paid subscription stops renewing. The rest of the period you already paid for is not refunded.
- When the period ends, the deletion runs automatically and, if something fails, it is retried until it completes. Cloud files that nobody uses anymore are removed in the next daily cleanup cycle.
3. What data is deleted
- Your account, your name, and your photo.
- Your Personal space in the cloud: songs, setlists, pads, and the audio and image files you uploaded.
- Your preferences, notifications, registered devices (with their identifier for alerts), AI usage and quotas, AI jobs, favorites, and chord backups.
- The reports, suggestions, and help messages you sent, with their attachments, and the replies you received.
- Teams that are only yours, meaning with no other people.
- Your paid subscription and your customer record at our payment processor.
- Unused AI credits, which are lost. Before that, you can move them to a team you own and transfer its ownership to someone else.
4. What is kept or becomes anonymous
- What you contributed to someone else's team (songs, chord and MIDI versions, events) stays in that team, without your name.
- Charts you shared with the community stay published, without your name.
- Crash reports become anonymous.
- Records of charges and of payments to affiliates are kept without personal data (amount, currency, date, and method) as an accounting record. We also keep whatever the law requires us to keep.
- What is stored on your own device (your local library and its files) is not touched: you remove it by uninstalling the app or deleting those files.
- Our infrastructure providers may keep backup copies for a limited additional time, according to their own policies.
5. Deleting only some data
Without deleting your account, you can delete your songs, setlists, pads, images, and audio files from the app, and remove devices you no longer use.
